While many of our young LTS Bobcats elect to stay in Incline Village and attend the local high school after graduating 8th grade, there are always a few that choose to explore boarding schools around the country. In the past five years, LTS has seen students apply to and be accepted at the best high schools in the country, such as: Deerfield, York, Andover, Berkshire, Santa Catalina, and Holderness, to just name a few. The graduating class of 2018 will continue this fine tradition.
Lake Tahoe School is proud to recognize two amazing 8th grade students that have recently been accepted by two of the best boarding high schools in the country. Jack Ludviksen applied to Cate School in Santa Barbara and Thacher in Ojai and was accepted to both. Nicholas Patrick also applied to Cate School and was accepted. Both Nicholas and Jack are thrilled at the opportunities that await them in high school.
Cate School is a highly selective, coeducational, independent school for boarding and day students in the 9th through 12th grade located in Carpinteria, California, eleven miles from Santa Barbara.
Jack is excited for the adventures and challenges that he will face at Cate, “I’m so grateful for all the opportunities that LTS has given me and I can’t wait for what lies ahead at Cate.” Nicholas echoed similar sentiments, “The past nine years at Lake Tahoe School have been amazing and I think that LTS has prepared me very well for the years ahead.”
The entire Lake Tahoe School community wishes both of these boys well as they embark on an exciting four years of high school at Cate.
