Max Rock’s fond memories of Lake Tahoe School, from his early days in Happyland to his graduation, highlight the lasting impact of his formative education. His experience at LTS laid the groundwork for his subsequent academic and personal achievements. Read Max’s testimonial below.
Lake Tahoe School had an enormous impact on my development, from my first days in Happyland, to my last days before graduation. I look back at my time there fondly and am grateful for all the support and encouragement I was given along the way.
After graduating from LTS, I attended Incline High, where I belonged to the National Honor Society and multiple sports teams, and was a proud member of the We The People team that placed 8th in the country in the national competition. Declamation helped me prepare the public speaking skills required for both We The People and as a valedictorian, speaking at my high school graduation ceremony. I am also a National Merit Scholar, which earned me a full tuition scholarship to the Barrett Honors College at Arizona State University, where I will graduate this May with a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering.
Lake Tahoe School taught me many important life lessons and gave me lifelong memories, and among my favorite, the immortal words of Mr. Jon: “If you had fun, you won!”
