The Reno Philharmonic’s Brass Quintet visited Lake Tahoe School yesterday for a memorable performance for our students in Duffield Hall. Featuring five musicians playing the tuba, the trombone, the French horn, and two trumpets, the Brass Quintet showcased favorites from Yankee Doodle to The Pink Panther to Star Wars. The Brass Quintet represents one of the groups in the Reno Philharmonic’s Discover Music educational outreach program in which musicians foster students’ interest in music in a fun and entertaining environment.
With music being one of Lake Tahoe School’s cornerstone enrichment programs, we are extremely grateful for a remarkable performance and learning experience for our students. Our music teacher, Miss Barb, says of the performance, “the Brass Quintet put on a fantastic, entertaining show that all the students thoroughly enjoyed.”
