The American Heart Association’s Kids Heart Challenge program at Lake Tahoe School officially kicked off this week! We are proud to support the American Heart Association and Be the Torch in the fight against heart disease and stroke. During this program, students will learn how to keep their hearts happy and healthy through physical and mental well-being while helping others with special hearts by raising life-saving donations. Our goal is to have 100% of our school families join the team and learn Hands-Only CPR through Finn’s Mission.
This year, the Silly String Squad has stepped up to help students and families meet heart health milestones!
- When Lake Tahoe School has 125 students registered then Ms. Sara will be silly stringed!
- When LTS completes 50 Finn’s Missions then Coach Cooper will be silly stringed!
- When LTS raises $12,500 or more in life-saving donations then Head of School Mr. Graves will be silly stringed!
Join us in learning about heart health and raising funds to protect all hearts – especially other kids’! Through fun activities we’ll discover ways to take care of our hearts and brains while practicing kindness, gratitude and learning ways to de-stress. Plus, students have the chance to earn fun prizes as well as PE equipment for our school!
