The NV Spirit Award is a prestigious honor given to student councils by the Nevada Association of Student Councils. This year, the Lake Tahoe School Student Council received the award for the fifth year in a row. In order to receive this honor, councils must fulfill a rigorous set of requirements. These requirements include hosting fundraising events, doing community service, and organizing school spirit weeks. Once these requirements have been fulfilled, the council must create a submission slide show. Throughout this challenging year, the council worked hard to get this honor, and their efforts paid off. Some of the highlights of the year for the LTS Student Council include: the school-wide Valentine’s Day raffle that raised money for the American Heart Association, collaborating with Tahoe Family Solutions and Incline High School for the annual Giving Tree holiday gift program, and picking up litter at Diamond Peak ski resort. Great Job, LTS Student Council!
